
James L. Head, MD
Dr. James Head is a native of Arkansas, born and raised in Heber Springs. He attended the University of Central Arkansas for his undergraduate education and the University of Arkansas for his medical degree.
Dr. Head is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, specializing in foot and ankle care, including minimally invasive bunion and achilles surgery. Dr. Head’s professional training in orthopedics includes his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Oklahoma. Residency training was followed by a fellowship training in foot and ankle surgery at the Florida Orthopaedic Institute in Tampa. After completing his residency, he moved back to Arkansas to join Conway Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Clinic.
Dr. Head is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is also a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society, and the Arkansas Orthopaedic Society.
Dr. Head is married with 2 children.
