J. Tod Ghormley, MD
Born and raised in Amarillo, Texas, Dr. Tod Ghormley attended the university of Houston and earned his medical degree with high honors at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston in 1984. He completed his internship as well as his residency in orthopaedic surgery at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, Lubbock General Hospital in 1989.
After his residency, Dr Ghormley moved to Arkansas, joining Dr McCarron at Conway Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Clinic in 1989. He is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon and a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery, Arkansas Orthopaedic Society, Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, and the Christian Medical & Dental Association.
Dr Ghormley is a general orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in hip and knee replacements, sports medicine, arthroscopic shoulder and knee joint surgery, hand and foot surgery, trauma surgery, and spinal injections.
He is performing a new innovative hip replacement through a small direct superior approach. Patients have less pain, no dislocation warnings, go home the next day, and return to sedentary work in 3 weeks.
He is an active member of the Conway Regional Medical Center Trauma Committee and is a board member at Conway Regional Rehabilitation Hospital.
Dr Ghormley has been married to his lovely wife Mimi for over three decades. They have two married children and 5 grandchildren. Dr Ghormley enjoys spoiling his grandchildren, hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, traveling and reading. He is involved in church as an elder, men's life group leader, and prayer counselor. He and Mimi are actively involved in yearly overseas missions and in teaching prayer seminars.
